Testicular varicocele is a pathology that occurs very frequently in men and is the first source of male infertility in Africa and Europe. The treatment for these patients is usually surgery, but this treatment never solved the problem.
Causes of Testicular Varicole
The true causes of the disease are not known to date. In addition, studies revealed that exposure to active radio waves and observed anomalies in venous valves may be the main causes.
The consequences of untreated varicocele
After months or years of failure to take care of this disease, it can cause underlying diseases such as:
- Testicular atrophy (testicular narrowing)
- Sexual impotence
- Early cumulation
- Loss of sexual appetite
- Azoospermie
- And other

Grades of Testicular Varicole
Varicole is often subdivided into grades in view of its gravity. There are 3 degrees of varicocele as follows:
- Grade 1: Varicole detected during palpation after the patient closed his mouth and nose standing and pushed.
- Grade 2: Light varicocele that looks at the examination in standing position and becomes more obvious with an effort.
- Grade 3: Varicole visible without effort during an outpatient examination and which becomes even more obvious with an effort.
How do you know you're suffering from testicular varicocele?
Most infertile men whose cause is testicular varicocele do not perceive the symptoms of this condition, making them perplexed and undecided. A spermogram is therefore necessary to remove any ambiguity about the cause of human infertility. In addition, one in five men with testicular varicocele may develop the following symptoms:
- Frequent or transient heating of the testicles with a strong burning when the latter wants to urinate
- Decreased libido in patients
- Non-viscosity of sperm
- Soft erection
These symptoms are not observed in all patients with testicular varicocele. It should be noted that testicular varicocele after medical examination may reveal a unilateral varicocele (usually left side) or bilateral varicocele (left side and right side).
Description of the organ responsible for varicocele testicle
The reproductive genital tract of man has an organ called scrotum in which lies two testicles surrounded by veins ensuring the passage of blood to the scrotum. Then the blood is sent from the scrotum to the other veins for its movement to the heart. These veins contain valves that play the role of a tap. Indeed, the valves in perfect condition allow the blood from the veins to the scrotum and from the scrotum to the other veins. This blood flow managed by these valves is broken when these valves no longer function properly or when they have permanently stopped functioning thereby creating a stagnation of blood in the veins of the sperm cord, we thus speak of the TESTICULAR VARICOL.
Treatment of testicular varicocele
Testicular varicocele can be treated in two ways:
- Conventional approach: The conventional method consists of performing surgery on the patient or passing the subject to laparoscopy or embolization. These methods suggest that recurrences may occur after a few weeks, including infections.
- L’approche traditionnelle : Cette méthode consiste à traiter la varicocèle avec les plantes médicinales. Ce traitement peut être long contrairement à la chirurgie, mais très efficace et sans effets secondaires.
